Any illegal physical, psychological, sexual, economic acts and (or) a threat of their commitment in family relations, if these actions violate the legitimate rights and freedoms of members of the family, and it harms their physical and mental health.
Types of violence
- physical violence in the family – an illegal action of one family member against another family member as a result of intentional infliction of bodily harm through the use of physical force;
- psychological violence in the family – an illegal action of one family member against another family member with a purpose of humiliation and degradation and (or) the threat of violence, which may harm his mental health;
- sexual violence in the family – an intentional illegal act by one family member against another family member that infringes sexual inviolability and sexual freedom of an individual, as well as actions that are sexually oriented, committed against non-adults;
- economic domestic violence – an illegal action of one family member against another family member for a purpose of depriving him of property, other property or funds for which a victim has a right provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as limiting other relevant conditions that can cause impaired physical or mental health or entail other unfavorable conditions;
