Special conversation with ELENA MAXIMENCO, Director of the Branch of GOPA in the Republic of Tajikistan/Project on Prevention of Domestic Violence (PDV) about activities of the Project in Tajikistan, educatory experience of Moldova in fight against domestic violence, female leaders in Tajikistan, ways of punishment of domestic violence abusers and other vital issues.
- The Project on Prevention of Domestic Violence (PDV) has been active in Tajikistan since 2004 funded by the Government of Switzerland and implemented by Branch of GOPA. Currently the 9th Phase of the Project is being implemented. Overall goal of the Project is reduction of domestic
violence as a violation of human rights,
as well as increasing awareness of population
on issues of domestic violence.
